My favorite wild & cosy YouTube channels

In this blog post, I share some of my favourite wild and cosy YouTube channels.

Some YouTubers live a slow and simple life in the woods or the mountains. Others go on adventures in nature. They all have one thing in common: they feel a deep connection with the natural world.

If you have any recommendations for this list, please leave your favourite channels in the comments below.

Table of Contents

    Jonna Jinton

At the age of 21, Jonna left the city for a life in a small village in Northern Sweden, where her ancestors originally came from. She currently lives there in a beautiful Swedish red house in the middle of the woods with her partner Johan and their dog Nanok.

Jonna makes videos, in which she captures her slow and intentional life and the wild magic of Sweden. She has a beautiful way of visual storytelling.

Besides capturing her life and the stunning surroundings, she also shares more about the family business she has built up over the past years. Here she sells her handmade paintings and jewellery.

    Roaming Wild Rosie

A few years ago, Rosie moved from London to a remote cabin in the Swedish forests. On her channel, she shares videos about the renovation of her cabin and other construction projects she does all by herself. Rosie has an incredibly funny and inspiring personality.

Before starting this adventure, Rosie had no construction experience, but she figured everything out as she went along. It's especially inspiring to see how she has grown in her building skills these past few years and can bring more and more complicated projects to life.

Rosie has no car or driver's license and does everything by bike or on foot. She even once used a bike and mini-trailer to pick up building materials in winter. How badass is that?!

    Olle Nilsson

Olle is a wildlife photographer from Linköping, Sweden. On his channel, he shares different kinds of videos about his wildlife photography.

Our favourite videos he makes are his POV videos, where he shares his photography trips in the Nordic forests. You follow him, looking for specific animals and see how he captures them. He also shares some photos he took and how they look after editing them. They are super relaxing to watch and really inspiring.

    Sanna Vaara

If you are a fan of Jonna Jinton or just love the magic of Scandinavia, Sanna Vaara's channel is a must-see. Sanna lives in a remote village with only 25 inhabitants in the north of Finland. This place could have come straight out of a fairy tale.

She makes photos, videos and music inspired by the Scandinavian nature. In her videos, she shares her slow and seasonal life in a beautiful and poetic way. She often creates content to inspire the viewer to live more simply and embrace boredom, because it is those moments where the most beautiful things often arise.

    WildBeare

On her channel, Claire shares realistic and inspiring videos about her adventures in nature. Claire has created a lifestyle she loves and goes out into nature whenever she can. She is truly an inspiration if you also want to go on more outdoor adventures.

Most of her videos are about hiking and wild camping, but she also shares content about bushcraft, outdoor cooking and stealth camping.

    Dani Connor Wild

Dani is a British wildlife photographer who recently bought a house in the north of Sweden. She now lives close to a forest where she has created a deep bond with the red squirrels who live there.

Dani shares different types of videos about photography, wildlife, nature, and her daily life in Sweden. Her videos have such a cosy and lovely feel to them. More recently she shared a series of videos about a baby squirrel she rescued and rehabilitated (see first video below).

    Kalle Flodin & Christine Kjaer

A few years ago, Kalle made the decision to leave behind his life in Stockholm and move to a remote cabin in the woods of Northern Sweden. Now, both he and his girlfriend Christine, who moved there from Denmark, share videos about their daily lives.

They live a very simple life in tune with nature. They are currently doing some upgrades to their cabin, but they have lived there for a couple of years without running water and no indoor shower or toilet.

Their videos make you question what it actually is you really need in life. It is very inspirational to see how they manage this kind of lifestyle, both the good and the bad.

Christine also shares some information about her work as a hormone therapist in her videos.

    Naturally Silent

On her channel, Hilja shares super relaxing videos about her quiet life in nature and her forest cabin.

Her videos mainly consist of shots of her life with sounds of nature in the background. In some of the videos, she talks about her life in Finnish, but luckily there are English subtitles so you can follow what she says.

If you are looking for relaxing and nature-related content, we definitely recommend you check out her videos.

    Christian Schaffer

Christian currently lives full-time in her custom-made Ram Promaster. She is a freelance photographer. On her channel, she documents her personal life on the road.

Her filming style is absolutely beautiful. She shares lots of amazing shots of the natural surroundings she is often in.

    Ramble Family

For anyone who would love some inspiration on going on outdoor adventures with little kids, I would highly recommend the Ramble Family channel.

In their videos, you follow Athena, Harvey, their daughter Aífe and their dog Oslo on their travels and adventures, mainly in the United Kingdom.
